Abigail Wells Shows Work In Northwest Sophomore Art Exhibit

2013 Apr 8

Abigail Wells of Coldwater is one of several sophomore art majors whose work will be on display at the Northwest Mississippi Community College Art Gallery, located on the Senatobia campus, from April 8- 17, with a reception on Thursday, April 11 from 5-7 p.m.

The exhibit will feature work by sophomores Chandraleka Cobb of Senatobia, Mallory Marlin of Nesbit, Abigail Wells of Coldwater, Mary Stennett of Brookhaven, Malchom McKinney of Dundee, Haley Atkinson of Marks, Samantha Hemmes of Potts Camp and Sidney Gascon of Southaven.

"Each year the art faculty always look forward to reviewing the art works created by our graduating sophomores prior to hanging their sophomore exhibition. Though we regret not being able to see their continued growth over another two years, it pleases us to know that we've provided the fundamental tools that they will carry with them as they enter into upper level art courses. This culmination of works is one that Northwest and the community always enjoys," House said.

Gallery hours are 8 a.m.- 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. – noon, Fridays. Admission to the gallery is free.
