Alexandria Shaw Pinned at Northwest Nursing Ceremony

Alexandria Shaw of Coffeeville was among 63 Northwest Mississippi Community College Nursing students who participated in the pinning ceremony held May 18, 2013 at the Trinity Baptist Church in Southaven, celebrating their completion of the Associate of Arts in nursing.

After a processional and invocation lead by Jessica Lynn Cagle, class secretary from Southaven, Dean of Nursing, Ellen Williams, welcomed attendees, presented the faculty and introduced the keynote speaker for the evening,Dr. Peggy Ingram Veeser, FNP-BC, FAA Director of Nursing at Christian Brothers University who offered the address to the graduates.

Williams awarded pins adorned with the Division of Nursing seal as Nursing instructor Denise Bynum presented each of the graduates to the crowd. Class President Nicole Jeans of Olive Branch offered the student address, after which class vice-president Diane Biffle of Southaven lead the graduates and faculty in the Nurses' Pledge. Class Treasurer Darla Moneymaker of walls made the closing remarks and Jenny Cole of Senatobia offered the benediction.
