2012 Jan 13

Carol Tramel of Batesville was among the 49 Northwest Mississippi Community College Division of Nursing students celebrating completion of their Associate of Arts in nursing at the pinning ceremony held Dec. 9, 2011 at the First Baptist Church in Senatobia.

After a processional and invocation lead by Kecia Marie Ivy, a class officer from Southaven, Dean of Nursing, Ellen Williams, welcomed attendees, presented the faculty and introduced Northwest's simulation specialist, Pam Briscoe, as the opening speaker. Clinical Director of Patient Care Services with the pediatric pulmonary care unit at Le Bonheur Children's Hospital in Memphis, Shayla Williamson, offered the address to the graduates.

Williams awarded pins adorned with the Division of Nursing seal as Nursing instructor Alison Pugh presented each of the graduates to the crowd. Class officer Christine Waltersdorff of Hernando offered the student address, after which class officer Alisha Roberson of Ashland lead the graduates and faculty in the Nurses' Pledge. Class officer Carol Tramel of Batesville offered the benediction.
