Chelsey Jorgensen Pinned at Northwest Nursing Ceremony

2012 May 17

Chelsey Jorgensen of Olive Branch was among 50 Northwest Mississippi Community College Nursing students who participated in the pinning ceremony held May 10, 2012 at the Trinity Baptist Church in Southaven, celebrating their completion of the Associate of Arts in nursing.

After a processional and invocation lead by Cookie Turner, a class officer from Olive Branch, Dean of Nursing, Ellen Williams, welcomed attendees, presented the faculty and introduced the keynote speaker for the evening, Rosalyn Howard, executive director of the Mississippi Nurses Foundation, who offered the address to the graduates.

Williams awarded pins adorned with the Division of Nursing seal as Nursing instructor Stacie Pigues presented each of the graduates to the crowd. Class President Brady Simpson of Hernando offered the student address, after which class vice-president Gayle Gordon of Pittsboro lead the graduates and faculty in the Nurses' Pledge. Class Secretary Lauren Miller of Southaven offered the benediction.
