Lee Williams of Lambert Announced as Northwest Cheerleader for 2013-2014

Lee Williams of Lambert was among 21 students selected as Ranger cheerleaders for the 2013-2014 season at Northwest Mississippi Community College, according to Liesl Davenport, cheer sponsor. Tryouts were held in the McLendon Center on the Senatobia campus on April 19 and 20.

Students selected for the squad are: Lindsay Abston of Byhalia, Breanna Bess of Gore Springs, Lauren Carson of Coldwater, John Cotton of Lambert, Georgia Dulin and Shelbi Dunlap, both of Coldwater, Gerald Johnson of Lake Comorant, Kayla Lunamand of Olive Branch, Katelyn McCluskey of Senatobia, Courtney Mitchell of Courtland, Madison Morgan of Starkville, Carey Nicole Norman of Horn Lake, Amanda Rayburn of Byhalia, Celeste Romanoli of Coldwater, Nolan Shackleford of Senatobia, Chance Simmons of Coffeeville, Gregory Taylor of Southaven, Jameko Trimble of Tupelo, Kaylan Williams of Batesville, Lee Williams of Lambert, Kayla Witt of Olive Branch and Megan Wooten of Oxford.

The Ranger cheerleaders are a non-competitive squad that cheers at all football games and all home basketball games. They travel with sporting teams to playoff games, tournaments and playoff games. Scholarships are available for those participating in cheerleading. Northwest's cheerleading coach is Angie Darbonne.
