Media Invitation: Northwest Football vs. East Central - State Title Rematch Tonight

Senatobia, MS (09/04/2025) — Northwest Mississippi Community College invites you to cover tonight's nationally ranked football showdown in Senatobia.

Event: Northwest Rangers vs. East Central Warriors Date/Time: Thursday, September 4 - Kickoff at 7:00 p.m. Location: Bobby Franklin Field - Senatobia, MS

This matchup is a rematch of last year's state championship game, and once again, both programs come in strong. Northwest enters the contest ranked #3 in the nation for the second consecutive week, continuing an impressive streak of being nationally ranked for more than five years running.

The Rangers opened the 2025 season last week with a commanding 42-17 win at Pearl River, piling up 522 yards of total offense and holding the Wildcats to negative rushing yardage. Quarterbacks Neko Fann and Aidan Glover, along with running backs Julius Pope and Jarvis Durr, powered a ground attack that produced five rushing touchdowns.

This week's matchup promises to be another high-energy contest as Northwest looks to stay atop the national conversation while defending home turf.
