Northwest Associate Degree Nursing Prepares for Accreditation Visit
Senatobia, MS (07/22/2026) — Northwest Mississippi Community College School of Health Science's Associate Degree Nursing program is preparing for their accreditation visit starting on September 1 and ending September 3 at the Gary Lee Spears School of Nursing Building on the Senatobia campus.
"National and state accreditation reviews occur every eight years and help ensure that our Associate-Degree Nursing (ADN) Program continues to meet high standards for nursing education," said Northwest's Director of Nursing Instruction Dr. Courtney McMullen. "The process includes a comprehensive review of the program, followed by a campus visit from a team of experienced nursing educators.
"The accreditation site visit gives our graduates, employers who hire our graduates, community partners, and other members of the public an opportunity to share their experiences and feedback about the ADN Program. Their input helps identify the program's strengths and areas for continued improvement. We welcome this process because it reflects our commitment to preparing compassionate, competent nurses who are ready to serve our communities."
The public is welcome to join on September 2 at 3:30, or submit comments by August 14 through public-comments@acenursing.org or the ACEN office at:
