Northwest Celebrates Leadership Past and Present this November
Senatobia, MS (11/02/2026) — Northwest Mississippi Community College in November will celebrate and emphasize the past and present leadership of Northwest. This month the college reflects on all the leaders who built up the college and made it what it is today.
For this reason, there are a couple of events that celebrate this exemplary leadership, starting on Nov. 5 with the ribbon cutting for the Centennial Bell Tower which will celebrate the newest addition to the Northwest campus. The field surrounding the tower serves as a place for student activities, the tower bell tolls on the hour, and at noon plays a song. During games, the tower bells play the fight song and is lit up with Ranger red and blue.
On Nov. 17 at 2 p.m., there will be the first Legacy of Leadership event where former Northwest presidents will discuss their time at Northwest, leadership, and other topics. The second event will be held on Nov. 19 at 1 p.m. and will focus on former Northwest nursing directors. The third planned event will feature former Northwest administrators Feb. 11 at 2 p.m. All three events will be held in the Haraway Center room 102.
