by Sarah Smith

Senatobia, MS (05/07/2024) — Ranger START Camp is a week-long, hands-on camp offered to children grades 3rd through 8th, held on the beautiful Northwest Mississippi Community College Senatobia campus June 10-14.

Northwest experienced faculty, coaches and staff will motivate campers to challenge themselves and try new things expanding ideas and current knowledge. Each day's activities are curated by NWCC with learning, skill development and fun in mind.

Dr. Matthew Domas, Vice President for Instruction at Northwest, explained that college-level instructors and coaches will actively be out there with students teaching them and working with them at this camp. Faculty and staff will work with campers to expand their ideas and current knowledge.

"Because of the great response last year for 3 days, we have expanded to Monday through Friday this year," said Anne Marie Ross, director of SMART Camp.

This year the camp is focused on physics, biology, art, civil engineering, robotics, and athletics will take place every afternoon with water games Friday afternoon.

Spots are limited, but registration is open through northwestms.edu/camp, the admission fee is $200, and the camp will run June 10-14 from 7:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
