The Music Man Takes Heindl Center for The Performing Arts Stage on Oct. 24

Senatobia, MS (10/19/2026) — Northwest Mississippi Community College's Heindl Center for the Performing Arts will feature the touring production of Meredith Willson's "The Music Man" on Oct. 24, 2026, at 7:30 p.m.

Meredith Willson's "The Music Man" follows a fast-talking salesman as he plots a scheme to get some quick cash. This musical has won six Tony Awards. Harold Hill cons the residents of River City, Iowa, buying instruments and uniforms for a boys' band that he vows to organize despite knowing nothing about music because he plans to skip town with the cash, he's acquired. However, love might just foil his plan.

"On Saturday, October 24, professional touring Broadway returns to Senatobia with the national tour of the classic musical Meredith Willson's 'The Music Man,'" said Dr. Blake Bostick, director of the Heindl Center. "'The Music Man' first became a hit on Broadway in 1957, winning five Tony Awards and a Grammy Award. It was adapted into popular films in 1962 and 2003 and has toured frequently over the decades, and now we get to bring one of Broadway's most beloved musicals to life on our stage as the fast-talking salesman Harold Hill gets his heart stolen by trying to con the people of River City. Don't miss the heart, humor, and classic songs of 'The Music Man'."
