Comedian Larry the Cable Guy is set to "Git-R-Done" on the Heindl Center Stage

by Sarah Smith-Hutchinson

Senatobia, MS (03/24/2026) — Northwest Mississippi Community College's Heindl Center for the Performing Arts is bringing comedian Larry the Cable Guy to the Five Star City on March 28 at 7:30 p.m.

The Grammy-nominated comedian has been known for decades for his classic catchphrase "Git-R-Done." His tour stops have sold out, and he has been a part of other sensational comedy tours, such as with Jeff Foxworthy and Bill Engvall.

Larry is not only a celebrated comedian, but has hosted the "Only in America with Larry the Cable Guy" on History, and co-starred in a Tyler Perry movie, "A Madea Christmas." He also starred as Mater in Pixar's "Cars," in the CMT animated show "Bounty Hunters," as well as various other films.

The road to becoming a household name began in 2000 with the "Blue Collar Comedy Tour," which grossed more than $15 million. In 2001, he released his first comedy album, "Lord, I apologize," which reached gold status and sold more than 500,000 copies.

"Larry is a multiplatinum recording artist, Grammy nominee, and one of the most recognizable comedians in America," said Dr. Blake Bostick, director of the Heindl Center. "He's had sold-out tours, top comedy specials, the hugely successful Blue Collar Comedy Tour, gold and platinum stand-up albums, and he's been honored as Billboard's Comedy Artist of the Year. He's also the voice of Mater in the Pixar 'Cars' movies, and he even has a SiriusXM radio channel called 'Jeff and Larry's Comedy Roundup.' So I don't care who ya are, come on out to the Heindl Center on March 28 and Git-R-Done with Larry the Cable Guy live in Senatobia."
