Seventeen students selected for Hall of Fame honor
Senatobia, MS (03/27/2026) — Seventeen Northwest Mississippi Community College students have been inducted into the 2025-26 Hall of Fame, the highest honor a student can achieve at the college.
The selection of students named to the Hall of Fame is based on their academic accomplishments and involvement in student life at Northwest. Hall of Fame nominations are submitted by Northwest instructors and voted on by a committee. This year's honorees were recognized at the March 5 Board of Trustees meeting on the Senatobia campus.
Eleven students attend the Senatobia campus.
Carleigh Calarco of Hernando is a Hernando High School graduate and is majoring in pre-health science: biomedical engineering. While at Northwest, Calarco was on the President's List each semester. She is a member of Mu Alpha Theta, Phi Theta Kappa, the Baptist Student Union, the Fellowship of Christian Athletes, and the Pre-Health Society. She also plays softball and was recognized as an Academic All-American. Her career goal is to become an orthodontist.
Olivia Callahan of Lake Cormorant graduated from Lake Cormorant High School and is a general theatre pathway student. Callahan played the primary role in the Northwest Fine Arts theatre productions "The Diviners" and "Boeing Boeing" and also played a role in the Northwest production of "Little Shop of Horrors." She is a member of several clubs and organizations, such as Phi Theta Kappa, Ranger Chorale, Jazz Ensemble, and Ranger Marching Band and is also an officer for the Northwest Players Club.
Emileigh Grace Doner of Oxford earned her high school equivalency diploma and is attending Northwest in Senatobia, majoring in Agricultural Business & Management Technology. She is a member of Phi Theta Kappa and the Baptist Student Union and was on the President's List each semester. She works as a veterinary technician and is extremely passionate about her work. After Northwest, she plans to obtain a veterinary technician certification.
Caroline Hamm of Belden is a graduate of Saltillo High School and is on the pre-health science pathway. She is a captain for the back-to-back Ranger women's soccer national championship team and was recognized as women's soccer All-MACCC Honorable Mention in 2024. Hamm was chosen to the Homecoming Court in her freshman and sophomore years. While at Northwest, she was a member of Phi Theta Kappa and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. After Northwest, she plans to attend Mississippi State University, majoring in communication sciences and disorders. She hopes to further her education at the University of Southern Mississippi, pursuing a Master of Science in speech-language pathology.
Mya Harden of Water Valley is a graduate of Water Valley High School and is on the broadcast journalism pathway. She serves as the Phi Theta Kappa chapter president and is a member of Northwest TRIO and the Honors Institute. She participated in the 2025 Beauty Review and was named one of the top four runnersup. After Northwest, she plans to continue her education at the University of Mississippi as a broadcast journalism major. She hopes to grow as a developing reporter by interacting in her community and using journalism to make a meaningful impact. Her career goal is to become a news anchor and storyteller.
Ashlyn McCullough of Hernando is a homeschooling graduate and is in the nursing program. She is a member of Phi Theta Kappa, Les Fauves Art Club, and Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society. She plans to further her education to earn a bachelor's degree in nursing.
Kendal Moseley of Horn Lake is a graduate of the Mississippi School of the Arts and is currently studying in the musical theatre pathway. She is an active member of numerous campus organizations, including Phi Theta Kappa, Northwest TRIO, Northwest Players Club, Ranger Chorale, Ranger Consort, and the Northwest Singers. She plans to continue her education at a university, pursuing a bachelor's degree in musical theatre as she works toward a career in the performance industry.
Justice Pope of Pope is a graduate of South Panola High School. She is studying in the elementary education pathway and serves as a residence assistant, Northwest Pathfinder, and a Student Government Association officer. Pope participates widely in campus activities, including serving as a guest speaker on the Ranger Hour podcast, an orientation leader, an emcee for Ranger Roundup, and as a member of the Student Services Council. Her career goal is to become an elementary teacher and give kids the childhood that she loved while she was in school. She wants to further her education to earn a master's degree and a doctorate.
Cody Rivera of Southaven is a graduate of Southaven High School and a general studies student in biomedical science. He serves as an officer for the Pre-Health Society and is a Ranger Content Creator. He is also a member of the Northwest Players Club, Phi Theta Kappa, is a Northwest Pathfinder, and was an orientation leader. He had the opportunity to serve on the Disciplinary Hearing Committee and Student Services Council Committee. Rivera participated in the Northwest theatre productions of "Little Shop of Horrors" and "The Diviners." He was elected as Mr. NWCC for the Senatobia campus. After graduating from Northwest, he plans to attend Mississippi College to earn his bachelor's degree before pursuing medical school at UMMC. His career goal is to become a trauma surgeon.
Tucker Smith of Perkinston is a graduate of Stone County High School in Wiggins. He is in the Agricultural Technology/John Deere program at the Senatobia campus. His career goal is to be the No. 1 technician in the AGUP company in Mississippi.
JP Swain of Oxford is a graduate of Lafayette County High School and is majoring in prehealth science at the Senatobia campus. He is an Honors Institute student and serves as a student-athlete trainer for all athletics, primarily football. Swain is also a member of Phi Theta Kappa, the PreHealth Society, the Baptist Student Union, and the Fellowship of Christian Athletes. He plans to continue his education at the University of Mississippi, pursuing a bachelor's degree in exercise science. His career goal is to become either a physical therapist or a chiropractor.

Chamiel Bryant of Dundee is a graduate of Rosa Fort High School and is majoring in practical nursing. Her career goal is to become a compassionate, knowledgeable licensed practical nurse who makes a difference in every patient's life. She also plans to advance her education to become a registered nurse.
Gabrielle Hamilton Itayem of Southaven is a graduate of DeSoto Christian Academy. She is studying in the clinical psychology pathway and is president of the DeSoto Phi Theta Kappa chapter and the DeSoto Book Club and is an Honors Institute student. She plans to continue her studies at the University of Mississippi to obtain her bachelor's degree before earning a master's degree and doctorate in clinical psychology. Her career goal is to become a clinical psychologist and help people seeking mental health services while also creating the safest and most comfortable environment for patients.
Drewry Jones of Olive Branch is a graduate of Lewisburg High School and a biology pathway student. She is an active member of Phi Theta Kappa, serves as an officer in the Smile Club, and is also part of the Honors Institute. Inspired by her family's commitment to serving others, she hopes to give back to her community by opening a plant sanctuary that will support individuals in gaining independence.
William Pitts of Holly Springs is a homeschooling graduate who is in the Marketing Management Technology program. He was inducted into Phi Theta Kappa. After Northwest, he plans to become an entrepreneur.

Olivia Ball of Oxford is a Lafayette High School graduate studying in the pre-health science pathway. She serves as a Phi Theta Kappa officer and was named Miss NWCC for the Oxford campus. After obtaining an associate degree at Northwest, she plans to attend the University of Mississippi Medical School in Jackson, majoring in dental hygiene. After completion of the Dental Hygiene program, she hopes to work as a licensed dental hygienist.
Joshua Cole Rogers of Oxford is a graduate of Lake Hamilton High School in Lake Hamilton, Arkansas. He is a general studies student who serves as an officer for Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society and Phi Theta Kappa and is also an Honors Institute student. He was selected as Mr. NWCC for the Oxford campus. After completing his studies at Northwest, he plans to attend the University of Mississippi to earn his bachelor's degree, followed by a master's degree in accounting, with a possible minor in finance. His career goal is to work for a professional firm.
