"Birds of a Feather" featured in Northwest's October art exhibit

Senatobia, MS (09/26/2017) — The theme for Northwest Mississippi Community College's October art exhibition is "Birds of a Feather" and will feature the works of artists from Mississippi.

The opening reception will be held on Thursday, Oct. 5 from 5-7 p.m., and the exhibition will run from Oct. 2 - 27 in the Northwest Art Gallery on the Senatobia campus.

According to Sharon Williams, who is overseeing the exhibit, several Mississippi artists and a Memphis artist will present works that feature color combinations and patterns inspired by birds. Paintings, pottery, jewelry and fiber arts will be on display for this exhibit, Williams said.

Gallery hours are 8 a.m.- 3:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday and 8 a.m. - noon, Fridays. Admission to the gallery is free.
