"Shrek: The Musical" Comes to the Heindl Center October 2, 2024

Senatobia, MS (09/18/2024) — Northwest Mississippi Community College's Heindl Center for the Performing is hosting "Shrek: The Musical" on Wednesday, October 2 at 7:30 p.m.

Based on the beloved book and DreamWorks' movie, Shrek: The Musical follows all the classic characters everyone knows and loves from Shrek, Fiona, Donkey, Lord Farquaad, and even Dragon.

"On Wednesday, October 2, we are thrilled to bring Tony Award-winning Broadway tour Shrek: The Musical to the Heindl Center stage," said Dr. Blake Bostick, director of the Heindl Center. "This beloved Broadway hit brings the fairy tale adventure of Shrek, Princess Fiona, Donkey, and their quirky friends to life with dazzling costumes, catchy songs, and unforgettable performances. Don't miss your chance to see the beloved characters from the Oscar-winning DreamWorks animated film come to life in this enchanting show that celebrates the joy of being yourself."

This show highlights the meaning of inner beauty, friendship, and love in a swamptastic tale of adventure with the same high stakes of the beloved film.
