by Sarah Smith

Senatobia, MS (11/19/2024) — Northwest Mississippi Community College's Heindl Center for the Performing Arts welcomes Christmas and Celtic Woman as they play their White Christmas Symphony Tour on December 10 at 7:30 p.m.

The multi-platinum singing group made up of Irish women and has had a variety of women make up the group over the years. They're known for their performance of traditional, contemporary and original songs featuring band, bagpipers, and dancers. They are the most successful all-female group in Irish history with 10 million album sales, and over 3 billion online streams.

For 20 years they have performed together, and this is the first time they've ever performed in Senatobia, Mississippi. They have appeared in various forms of American media including the 2009 National Christmas Tree Lighting, "Dancing with the Stars", and in American soap operas like "The Bold and the Beautiful."

"Come experience the magical sound of the holiday season with the celestial voices of Grammy-nominated, multi-platinum Irish singing sensation Celtic Woman's White Christmas Symphony Tour at the Heindl Center on Tuesday, December 10," said director of Heindl Center, Dr. Blake Bostick. "Celtic Woman, now celebrating an incredible 20 years, is the most successful all-female group in Irish history, and you have the rare opportunity to hear their angelic harmonies with the thrilling live sound of a full symphony orchestra in an intimate concert event. Come hear Celtic Woman classics like 'Danny Boy,' 'Amazing Grace,' and 'You Raise Me Up' plus your favorite Yuletide classics. Join us for an enchanting evening filled with holiday cheer and a live orchestra with the all-female Irish ensemble Celtic Woman."
