Dave Barnes is set to Perform on April 18, 2026 at Northwest Soiree: A Garden Gala

by Sarah Smith-Hutchinson

Senatobia, MS (04/01/2026) — Northwest Mississippi Community College's Foundation is proud that the headliner for the Northwest Soiree: A Garden Gala is southern singer-songwriter, Dave Barnes. The performance will be after the Soiree's social hour and awards ceremony. Concert-only tickets are also available for the April 18, 2026, performance.

Barnes has been a singer-songwriter since his adolescent years in Mississippi, where he grew an attachment to hip-hop, soul, blues, and R&B. After years of being a fan of music while attending Middle Tennessee State University, he began writing songs for other artists.

While at college, he began playing solo shows on campus and graduated with a degree in recording industry management. With that degree, Barnes moved to Nashville and started his own music career.

Known for hits like "God Gave Me You" and "Carry Me Through," Barnes has a soulful and emotional discography. He has written songs for a variety of artists like Florida Georgia Line, Tim McGraw, Reba McEntire, Dan + Shay, Carrie Underwood, NEEDTOBREATHE, Billy Currington, and many more.
