by Sarah Smith

Senatobia, MS (11/11/2024) — Northwest Mississippi Community College's Heindl Center for the Performing Arts announces its final shows for the spring 2025 season featuring classic groups like the Commodores and the Beach Boys, to country music singer Lee Brice and theatrical favorites like "The Addams Family Musical" and "Mean Girls: the Musical."

"We are so excited to continue to bring world-class entertainment to Senatobia this spring at the Heindl Center," said Heindl Center Director, Dr. Blake Bostick. "Our season includes beloved comedian Brian Regan, amazing touring Broadway performances from 'The Addams Family' and 'Mean Girls,' incredible concerts with country icon Lee Brice, the legendary Beach Boys, and Motown icons the Commodores, and a very special evening with Priscilla Presley. We are delighted to bring these special memory-making evenings to north Mississippi, and we look forward to welcoming our audience to continue to enjoy beautiful shows at the Heindl Center."

The season kicks off on Jan. 11 with comedian Brian Regan at 7:30 p.m. Regan has been seen on specials like "Brian Regan: On the Rocks" which is streaming on Netflix and appeared on various comedic shows such as Jerry Seinfeld's "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee" and "The Tonight Show starring Jimmy Fallon."

Then up next is the family favorite, "The Addams Family Musical" on Feb. 3 at 7:30 p.m. Based on the classic series by Charles Addams, the play follows the quirky family of Morticia, Gomez, Wednesday, and Pugsley with their quick-witted and dark sense of humor.

Changing tunes just a couple weeks later on Feb. 15 at 7:30 p.m., Lee Brice and his guitar are hitting the stage. The country music star sings popular country tunes such as "Hard to Love" and "Love like Crazy."

Then to bring in some old school rock 'n' roll, the Beach Boys are hitting the stage Feb. 22 at 7:30 p.m. The Beach Boys are known for their influence in the pop and rock genres. For more than six decades they've been entertaining audiences with their catchy tunes such as "Wouldn't it be Nice" and "Good Vibrations."

Changing tunes and sets, "Mean Girls: the Musical" is coming March 17 at 7:30 p.m. Adapted from the cult classic film "Mean Girls," this musical strives to adapt the film for a more modern audience with fan favorite characters such as Regina George and Cady Heron.

Audiences can cruise back to Motown for some classic tunes with the Commodores April 26 at 7:30 p.m. This group is known for classics like "Easy" and "Brick House" and have been performing since the 1970s.

Finishing up the spring season, cultural icon Priscilla Presley will return to the Mid-South as she talks about life, love and loss on May 3 at 7:30 p.m.
