John Michael Montgomery Coming October 3, 2025

by Sarah Smith

Senatobia, MS (09/26/2025) — Northwest Mississippi Community College's Heindl Center for the Performing Arts welcomes country music legend John Michael Montgomery on farewell tour with his son Walker Carl Montgomery at 7:30 p.m.

His musical legacy spans decades, kicking off with his famous song, "I Love the Way You Love Me." His first album coming out in 1992, "Life's a Dance" was the only album by a new artist that year to sell a million copies.

Since that first album, he's had many chart toppers, founded his own record label Stringtown, and enjoyed life with his wife and two children.

"We hope you will join us for the 'Road to Home' Farewell Tour of country music star John Michael Montgomery, whose many number one singles and countless awards have made him one of country music's most recognizable voices," said Dr. Blake Bostick, director of the Heindl Center. "For over 30 years, John Michael Montogomery has made country music that still resonates worldwide, earning seven number-one singles, multiple multi-platinum albums, and mega-hits like 'Life's A Dance,' 'I Swear,' 'I Can Love You Like That,' 'Sold (The Grundy County Auction Incident,' and many more. This show also features a thrilling opening performance from the classically-inspired, honey-bourbon vocals of John Michael Montgomery's son, Walker Montgomery. Don't miss this memorable night celebrating an incredible family legacy of country music. Could ya, would ya, ain't ya gonna, if I asked you, would you wanna get tickets to this awesome country concert on October 3."
