MEDIA INVITE: Northwest to Celebrate Completion of First-Ever Capital Campaign
What: The Northwest Mississippi Community College Foundation invites members of the media to attend a special celebration marking the successful completion of the college's first-ever capital campaign, Investing Today, Impacting Tomorrow.
Launched in November 2020, this five-year comprehensive campaign began with a $4.56 million goal and concluded with an extraordinary total of $9,813,298 in cash gifts, pledges, payroll deductions, in-kind contributions, and estate gifts. This achievement reflects a shared commitment to transforming student lives and enriching Northwest's communities through expanded educational access and opportunity.
A donor recognition wall has been installed to honor contributors, and a check presentation will be made from the Northwest Foundation Board to College President Dr. Michael J. Heindl.
The campaign supported several major initiatives, including:
Heindl Center for the Performing Arts
The Concourse - Batesville
Ranger Soccer/Softball Complex
Aviation Pilot Program
Oxford Center Health Science Programs
The Ranger Center - DeSoto Campus
Improvements to the Northwest Farm
Athletic Performance Facility
Local, state, and national elected officials relevant to these projects may be on hand to speak during the event or remain available afterward for questions.
