Northwest Announces 'Meet the Director' Events of the Center for the Performing Arts
Senatobia, MS (06/13/2022) — Senatobia - Northwest Mississippi Community College is excited to host several 'Meet the Director' events next week to introduce Mr. Kerry Goff and the Center for the Performing Arts to the community. Dr. Michael J. Heindl, President of Northwest, will introduce Mr. Goff and highlight some great things to anticipate about the center. The college has been laboring to construct a $32 Million facility over the last two years that will bring national entertainment to Northwest Mississippi. The facility is nearing its scheduled completion date for late 2022, and Mr. Goff is nearly finished preparing for the first inaugural season at the Center for the Performing Arts.
These events aim to provide accurate messaging on the mission, vision, and values of the Performing Arts Center and the types of events people can expect coming to Senatobia. The community will also discover, at the events, how people can support the Center for the Performing Arts and what season tickets will look like. Mr. Goff will also provide critical dates, including social media launch dates, season announcements, and website launch dates. There will be an open Q & A session at the end of each event. Please make plans to attend the event closest to you.

June 23rd at 10 am: DeSoto Campus, Room 333

Mr. Kerry Goff, new to Northwest, is fresh off a stint as chair of the theatre department for McMurry University in Abeline, Texas, and is responsible for overall management on-site, as well as scheduling and performance season selection. "I am excited to have Kerry join our team," said Jeff Horton, vice president for Administration and Finance. "He has higher education experience at a university as a faculty chair and has been a director of a performing arts theater. He is a great guy who has already been hard at work planning and researching in preparation for the Performing Arts Center opening."
