Senatobia, MS (07/24/2018) — Registration for the 2018 fall semester at Northwest Mississippi Community College is just around the corner.

Open registration for day classes for students who have not previously registered will be held on Thursday, Aug. 16 and Friday, Aug. 17 on all Northwest campuses. Open registration for day classes will be held from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m.

Returning students may register online or, if they pre-registered in the spring, complete their registration online anytime Aug. 13-15 or on campus from 8:30 a.m.-3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 14 and Wednesday, Aug. 15. New academic students (except nursing students) who complete online orientation and have an ACT score of 17 or higher may register online, as well.

Open registration for Northwest eLearning's online classes is Aug. 14-15 from 4:30 to 7 p.m. and Aug. 16-17 from 8:30 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Day classes and evening classes begin Monday, Aug. 20. Late registration will begin Aug. 20 and end Aug. 24.

Registration for first term mini-classes is Thursday, Aug. 16 and Friday, Aug. 17. First term mini-classes begin on Monday, Aug. 20. Late registration for first term mini-classes begins on Aug. 20 and ends on Aug. 24.

In an effort to reduce the price of books for students, some Northwest courses use electronic textbooks or eBooks. eBooks will be available through Northwest's CANVAS system the first day of class. The eBook can be accessed at any time after downloading it to a device, even when students have no Internet connection. Students whose courses use eBooks will be assessed the fee for the book when they complete their registration. If students would like a hard copy of the entire textbook, there will be black and white loose-bound books available for purchase in the Bookstore.

As of this date, all Northwest residence halls are full, and there is a waiting list, according to the Northwest Housing Office.
