Northwest Les Fauves Art Sale on November 18

by Sarah Smith

Senatobia, MS (11/18/2024) — Northwest Mississippi Community College's Les Fauves Art Club annual fall sale on Thursday, November 21 at the Northwest Art Gallery on the Senatobia campus starting at 8:00 a.m.

The art sale is a beloved tradition on the Senatobia campus and happens twice a year annually once in the Fall and once in the Spring. This offers students an opportunity to sell their art like they would in a professional setting.

This also allows the public to see the work of the students that they have been working towards all semester. The sale features pieces made by students and staff including pottery, paintings, drawings, and mixed media art for sale.

"It is so inspiring and awesome to watch our students generate creative ideas, execute those ideas, and market those ideas," said art instructor, Ashley Chavis. "It's real-world experiences like the Les Fauves Art Sale that help our students develop into creative entrepreneurs."
