Temptations Coming to the Heindl Center on November 1

Senatobia, MS (10/24/2024) — Northwest Mississippi Community College's Heindl Center for the Performing Arts is hosting the Temptations on November 1 at 7:30 p.m.

The Temptations are known for their iconic tunes, and culturally as American music royalty. These world-renowned musicians started in the 1950s in Detroit, Michigan. They have over 6 decades of hits. Their most memorable tunes come from the 1960s when Otis Williams, Melvin Franklin, David Ruffin, Eddie Kendricks and Paul Williams created some of their most memorable songs.

Having blazed a trail for other musicians, they have been depicted in a Broadway show "Ain't Too Proud" and various forms other media forms. Their Motown sound isn't quick forgotten and is still celebrated to this day.

"The Heindl Center is thrilled to host a concert by iconic Motown legends The Temptations," said Dr. Blake Bostick, director of the Heindl Center. "Celebrated for their timeless hits and smooth harmonies, The Temptations will deliver a night of unforgettable music including classic songs like 'My Girl' and 'Ain't Too Proud to Beg.' These Grammy-winning world-renowned superstars of entertainment are members of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and have multiple gold and platinum records, and now you have the chance to see one of the most iconic, best-selling bands in music history live in Senatobia."
