The Commodores are Coming to the Heindl Center on April 26, 2025

by Sarah Smith

Senatobia, MS (04/21/2025) — Iconic Motown legends, The Commodores, are coming to the Heindl Center on April 26, 2025 at 7:30 p.m.

Famous for their songs like "Easy," "Three Times a Lady," and "Brick House" they have sold over 60 million albums worldwide. With 7 number-one singles, 5 number-one albums, and a Grammy under their belt, the Commodores have quite a repertoire.

Formed in 1968, the group was classmates at Tuskegee Institute, where they were discovered by Berry Gordy, a record producer and the founder of the Motown Record Corporation in 1959. Motown was the most successful Black-owned business in the US and produced groundbreaking and culture impacting music.

Now almost 7 decades later, the Commodores have entertained and boogied with audiences young and old as their iconic music has stayed alive.

"One of the most successful vocal groups of all time, the Commodores have sold over 60 million records and had multiple chart-topping hits, like 'Machine Gun,' 'Three Times a Lady,' 'Sail On,' and 'Brick House,'" said director of the Heindl Center, Dr. Blake Bostick. "For five decades, the Commodores have remained a trailblazing force in the music industry, and we can't wait for this unforgettable concert experience."
