Northwest students awarded Presidential Scholarship

Several incoming freshmen at Northwest Mississippi Community College have been awarded the college's Presidential Scholarship. These scholarships are awarded to students based on their ACT. Students must be entering freshmen and must enroll in and maintain 15 semester hours as well as the required cumulative grade point average.

Northwest students awarded June S. Gardner Scholarships

Several incoming freshmen at Northwest Mississippi Community College have been awarded the college's June S. Gardner Scholarship. These scholarships are awarded to in-state high school valedictorians and salutatorians. Recipients must be fall entering freshmen and must enroll in and maintain 15 semester hours as well as the required cumulative grade point average.

Northwest students awarded Leadership Scholarships

Several incoming freshmen at Northwest Mississippi Community College have been awarded the college's Leadership Scholarship. These scholarships are limited in number, but are awarded to in-state students who exhibit strong leadership abilities, have special skills or talents, a specific ACT score and/or have strong academic qualities. Recipients must be fall entering freshmen and must enroll in and maintain 15 semester hours as well as the required cumulative grade point average.

Northwest Nursing students receive scholarships

Northwest Mississippi Community College nursing students were awarded $500 scholarships for their service at Shoot for the Heart, a clay shooting event that raised $35,000 for the Nursing Division. Area recipients were:
