Northwest Mississippi Community College

Students in Northwest Mississippi Community College's Career- Technical programs traveled to Jackson on April 11 and 12 to participate in the SkillsUSA Leadership Conference. Northwest students brought home 11 gold medals, three silver medals and two bronze medals.

Students in Northwest Mississippi Community College's Career-Technical programs traveled to Jackson Feb. 28 - March 1 to participate in the 2017 SkillsUSA Mississippi State Competition.

Collegiate DECA students from Northwest Mississippi Community College's DeSoto Center participated in the DECA State Conference Feb. 24-26 in Southaven. Enrollment in Northwest DECA is limited to Business and Marketing Management Technology or Hotel and Restaurant Management Technology students. The students participated in various competitions at the event, and placed in several categories.

Nursing students from Northwest Mississippi Community College's Student Nurses Association (SNA) brought home several awards and recognitions from the annual Mississippi Organization for Associate Degree Nursing Student Association (MOSA) conference held at Hinds Community College, Rankin Campus on March 28-29. Students from the Hotel and Restaurant Management Technology program from Northwest Mississippi Community College's DeSoto Center traveled to Jackson Feb. 29-March 2 to attend the Collegiate DECA State Career Development Conference. The students competed in various events for a chance to attend the DECA International Career Development Conference in Salt Lake City in April.
